About
My name is Keziah Grindeland, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). Despite what that may imply, I do not work with couples, and I find the greatest joy in working with teens and adults. I have learned to look at everyone as part of a system and be curious about how our relationships and expectations shape the options that we think we have.
I grew up in the Pacific Northwest but have lived all over the country, from rural Iowa to Los Angeles.
As a queer woman, I find great joy in working with the LGBTQ+ community. Whatever your identities are, I want to get to know you and learn how they have shaped you into the person you are today.
Whether you are looking to build sustainable routines to help manage ADHD symptoms, you want to explore the impacts of childhood trauma, or you want to rediscover who you want to be after a relationship change, I am excited to meet you!
Approach & Focus
My primary areas of focus are trauma, PTSD, anxiety, and neuordivergence. I feel honored to walk alongside my clients, and I strive to make my practice a space where everyone can feel seen and held in their full self.
I view everyone as an expert of their own story, and I strive to provide a compassionate, curious, and kind space where clients can explore the journey of healing and growth. Additionally, I am trained in Cognitive Processing Therapy to begin the healing journey from PTSD.
Education & Experience
I received a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, WA. Before becoming a therapist, I worked as a community organizer and social media manager.
Previously, I worked as a Child and Family Therapist at the YWCA with survivors of domestic violence and their children in individual, parent/child, and group art therapy.
In addition to my private practice, I currently work at a group practice located in Renton, WA.
